This EdgeX Foundry training course provides the skills necessary to use EdgeX in your edge solutions.
By attending EdgeX Foundry workshop, delegates will learn:
- What EdgeX is, how it works and how to get it and use it in your Edge solutions.
- How EdgeX is architected, how to download and run EdgeX, and how to configure and extend EdgeX in those cases where you need to.
- Extension points to connect EdgeX to specific things or IT systems and how to do that with EdgeX-provided software development kits (SDKs).
- Run EdgeX and its important APIs.
- Use the SDK to create a simple service (either device or application service) and integrate it into the rest of EdgeX.
- Basic knowledge of IoT and Edge Computing
- Familiarity with the command line, text editors, JSON, Go and C (including the ability to write code in Golang)
