The BMC Control-M for Z/OS training course is designed to teach basic concepts of Control-M for z/OS, including working knowledge of Control-M, job scheduling, and an introduction to Control-M/Restart and Control-M Event Manager. Delegates learn how to access and exit the mainframe facility, use basic commands and function keys, as well as define job scheduling definition parameters, view and modify jobs contained in the active environment, and use the Control-M Workload Automation interface to manage z/OS jobs. In BMC Control-M for Databases workshop, delegates will learn to:

  • Connect to supported databases from a single computer with a secure login
  • Define and monitor stored procedure, SQL script, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Package, and Open Query database jobs
  • Integrate database jobs with other Control-M jobs into a common scheduling environment
